Bridging Education and Beyond: JCXJG attended the 26thCACIE & CEE

From October 29th to November 1st, the 2025 CACIE & CEE, organized by the Chinese Education Association for International Exchange, was held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. Focusing on the theme " Bridging Education and Beyond". This year's conference focused on building a strong education system. Through activities including the plenary session, parallel forums, cooperation negotiations, and the education exhibition, it integrated world-class educational resources and innovative elements, created a platform for Chinese and international educators and various representatives to share insights, exchange experiences, and foster cooperation. Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Wang Nini led the college delegation to the conference, accompanied by Yan Kuan, Deputy Director of the International Office.

Chinese Minister of Education Huai Jinpeng and New Zealand Minister of Education for Universities’ Education Shane Reti attended and delivered addresses at the plenary session. During the keynote speech segment, participants including Tan Tieniu, Party Secretary of Nanjing University; Damon Salesa, Vice-Chancellor of Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand; Pálmai Gergely, Deputy State Secretary of the Hungarian Ministry of Culture and Innovation; Mr. Wang Xingxing, Founder and CEO of Unitree Technology; Charles L. Welch, President and CEO of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities; Carolyn Evans, Chair of Universities Australia and President & Vice-Chancellor of Griffith University; and Li Xigui, Principal of Beijing No.1 Experimental School, shared innovative practices and forward-thinking insights from diverse perspectives, collectively exploring educational solutions to global challenges.

Huai Jinpeng pointed out that the Chinese government consistently prioritizes education, placing it in a strategic position for prioritized development. This has driven historic achievements and transformative changes in education, resulting in more inclusive and higher-quality public education services, a significantly enhanced capacity of education to support economic and social development, deepened digital transformation and intelligent upgrading of education, and the continuous expansion of high-level opening up in education. The recent Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China emphasized the integrated promotion of education, science and technology, and talent development, and delivering education that satisfies the people, making new deployments for education to support and lead Chinese modernization. This will undoubtedly inaugurate a new journey of high-quality development for Chinese education. Huai Jinpeng emphasizes that currently, a new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation is accelerating, and global development faces profound changes. The world needs peace, countries need development, and people aspire for happiness. This requires us to respond to the needs of the times and the questions of the world with the power of education, and to illuminate the path forward and the road of civilization with the light of hope. He put forward three proposals: First, adhere to inclusiveness and equity, shaping a more sustainable and better world through the power of education. Second, persist in innovation-driven development, shaping a more dynamic and better world through the renewing power of education. Third, uphold cooperation and mutual learning, shaping a more inclusive and better world by building bridges through education.

During the time in Beijing, the delegation also visited the Coventry University China Office and the International Office of Beijing Language and Culture University. They worked to promote the implementation of inter-institutional cooperation between our college and Coventry University and explored ways to deepen the collaborative fields between the two institutions. During the exchange with Beijing Language and Culture University, discussions focused on areas such as the application for Sino-foreign cooperative education programs, models for Sino-foreign joint talent cultivation, faculty and student exchange programs, the establishment of internationally integrated majors and disciplines, and the recruitment and management of international students.

During the CEE, the college engaged in discussions and explored potential cooperation with representatives from numerous universities and institutions from New Zealand, the UK, Australia, the USA, Russia, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong China, and Macao China, as well as educational organizations including the Chinese Education Association for International Exchange Training College, the British Council, the IELTS test partners, Pearson Education, China Foreign Affairs Education Group, and East West International Education Group.
